Rancho Simi Community Park, located at 1765 Royal Avenue, is one of the largest parks in the area at over 33 acres. It has 2 playgrounds, 8 tennis courts, basketball, pool, horseshoe pits, a lagoon with ducks and plenty more. Indian Springs Park, located at the corner of Rockfield Street and Hawthorne Drive in Oak Park, is a nice sized, flat residential park with a number of amenities. The park has two playgrounds (bigger kids and little kids), tennis courts, baseball fields, basketball court, restrooms and more. Located at 390 Linden Avenue, Carpinteria, at the northern corner of Carpinteria State Beach Park, the Tomol Interpretive Play Area opened in 2011 through the cooperative efforts of California State Parks, the Morning Rotary Club of Carpinteria, and the City of Carpinteria.
The play area, universally accessible by all visitors, features a Chumash Indian village with slides, cave, sandstone boulders, a "tomol" plank boat, rainbow bridge and other play structures. Definitely something to stop by and check out with your little ones when you are in the area.
The interpretive play area was awarded the Universal Access Award by California State Parks for “outstanding achievement in increasing universal access” by all visitors regardless of physical limitations.
Stop by The Commons at Calabasas (4799 Commons Way) every Tuesday night at 6pm for a weekly dose of fun, including music, dance, arts, crafts, entertainment and so on.

The Lakes at Thousand Oaks is a 7 1/2 acre, 50,000 square foot development next to the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza where you can relax and enjoy park-like landscaping, two lakes with ducks and koi, fountains, waterfalls and a children's play area, while shopping at high-end stores and grabbing a bite.
Shopping and dining options at The Lakes includes California Pizza Kitchen, PF Chang’s, Sabor Cocina Mexicana, Lassens Natural Foods, Sunlife Organics, Kalologie Skincare, and BCBC Nail Spa.
There is a kids club that meets every Wednesday morning from March through November. And in mid-November through early January, The Lakes hosts a very popular outdoor ice skating rink. The kids always enjoy it here because there is a lot of room to run around, run across the bridge, around the lake, etc.

JCPenney Kids Zone at The Oaks mall in Thousand Oaks takes place from 11 am to noon the 2nd Saturday of each month.
Feb 8: Create a Valentine’s Day Desk Box - Spread the love just in time for Valentine’s Day. The kiddos can create a special box for their valentines & create a card for their favorite teacher at the JCPenney Kids Zone on February 8th from 11am to 12pm. The FREE activity includes fun stickers to create a mermaid or shark themed valentines box with a matching card, a marker and much more!

The Play Destination was a 5,000 sq ft indoor playground and birthday party center for children, with comfortable seating and modern decor for parents. The space offers children a clean, safe environment to play and is equipped with an indoor play structure, bounce house, interactive floor games, and other mentally and physically stimulating activities.
