Rocking K Horse Rentals in Newbury Park (CLOSED)

Do note that Rocking K accepts cash only still as of January 2018. Children must be at least six years of age and 44 inches tall to ride. Maximum weight is 260 lbs. Pregnant women are not allowed to ride.

They recommend wearing jeans and close toed shoes. Open 8am to 6pm (e.g. last 1 hour ride leaves at 6pm) during spring/summer months and until 5pm on other months.

As of January 2018, prices are $40 for a 1 hour trail ride, $50 for a 1 1/2 hours and $60 for a 2 hour ride.

Scooter’s Jungle Simi Valley announced it has closed permanently in 2020.

Scooter’s Jungle Simi Valley is a 12,000 square foot facility located at 2250 Union Place, Unit B with huge, custom-made inflatable jumpers and permanent structures that include the tallest and longest indoor inflatable slide. The play equipment is right-sized for kids and parents to play. The facility opened its doors in December 2012.

Features both open play and private events, including birthday parties, fundraisers and team gatherings. Free table games and a DJ‑quality music system also in place.

"All ages" two-hour open play events are $10 per child, which includes on adult. Additional adults $5 each (as of May 2019).

We visited Scooter's Jungle for the first time in February 2013 during an "open play" session. There are 3 slides, one of which I tried, and it was quite fast! There are 4 different bounce houses, including 2 with mini-obstacles and a fun mini zip line, and a 4th, larger bouncer with basketball hoops in it. There is also an extra large climbing play area and two ping pong tables.

Boost Your Average Community Batting & Sports Center in Westlake Village (CLOSED JULY 2018)

Located at 2326 Townsgate Road, Westlake Village, Boost Your Average (BYA) is a 15,000 sq ft indoor baseball and softball batting cage and multi sport training center.  Each of BYA's nine lanes are equipped with state of the art pitching machines that pitch both baseballs and softballs in every lane. Four of the lanes are fully automatic token operated cages where the batter can select baseballs or softballs from within the lane.

There's also a 3,500 sq ft indoor open practice field, fully turfed for fielding drills. It is also equipped with baseball and softball pitching mounds, two tees and soft-toss nets.

Paintball USA is located in Oxnard at 5011 West Gonzales Road.  Paintball USA offers Co2, compressed air, paintballs, markers (guns), and safety equipment on eight different fields. 

Designed for all levels of players, from beginners to advanced. Professional staff briefs all players on paintball games and safety. Air guns, camouflage outfits, paintballs and safety headgear are available for rent and for purchase.

The Clubhouse Fun Zone in Ventura (CLOSED)

THE CLUBHOUSE FUN ZONE PERMANENTLY CLOSED ITS DOORS IN 2020

The Clubhouse Fun Zone is located at 4535 McGrath Street, Unit B in Ventura. This indoor play facility appeals to both adults and children in that in addition to all of the play equipment, it offers three computer stations with free internet access, free WiFi, satellite radio, couches, chairs and a variety of reading material.

For the kids, there is a tri-level clubhouse themed modular climbing structure featuring two large slides, a zig-zag step climb, teeter tunnel, snake pit and ball pit, a large collection of Children’s Factory soft play activity components, an inflatable bouncer, Little Tikes play structures that create an imaginary town (including a café and gas station, school bus, fire truck, etc.), ride-on vehicles, train table, air hockey table and popular ride-on roller coasters. Recommended for kids 6 and under but all ages welcome.

The Clubhouse also offers a range of drinks and snacks that includes self-service gourmet coffee and tea as well as birthday party packages. The facility is open to the public Monday through Friday and weekends for private parties.

We Rock the Spectrum Kid's Gym in Simi Valley (Closed December 2016)

Note: We Rock the Spectrum Simi Valley announced that they are closing their doors at the end of December 2016.

We Rock the Spectrum Kid's Gym at 2888-B Cochran St, Simi Valley opened to the public in July 2015. Open 7 days a week, 9am to 7pm for open play, birthday parties, break time, camps and more. 

The gym provides children from infant to age 13 with a fun and motivational environment to help them with strength, movement, vestibular development, sensory processing, communication and social interactions.

Activities at the gym include: zip line, full sized trampoline, rope wall, slide, monkey bars, swings, tunnels, sensory-based toys, motor play toys and equipment, arts and crafts area and more.

The SkateHouse is a new indoor skatepark in Chatsworth, located at 9725 Variel Avenue. It is the only privately owned indoor skate/BMX park open to the public in the City of Los Angeles. 13,000 sq ft facility offering vert, street and transition for skateboarders, BMX, scooters and roller bladers.
