Skate Plaza at Berylwood Park in Simi Valley

The Rancho Simi Recreation and Park District opened the Skate Plaza at Berylwood Park on Wednesday, August 12th, 2020.

Construction of the Skate Plaza began in February 2020 and was completed in early August. The 5,200 square foot Skate Plaza is constructed from pre-cast and case-in-place components and features ramps, low walls, benches, curbs, slide rails, jumps and quarter pipes. Additional park features include a new picnic structure, park benches, walkways, fencing and security lights.

The Skate Plaza was designed with all ages and skill levels in mind. Younger beginning skaters can learn and hone their skills, while advanced skaters can utilize the Skate Plazas more challenging features.

The Plaza is open daily from 8am to 8pm.

The Skate Plaza is located at 1955 Bridget Avenue in Simi Valley.

Skate Parks in Ventura

Skateboard facilities can be found at Westpark Community Center (450 W. Harrison Avenue), Hobert Park (Telegraph Road between Petit and Cambria) and the campus of Pacific High School (Dean Drive and College). These facilities were designed for both the novice and advanced skater. Jeanette Airen Performing Arts Studio in Thousand Oaks

Jeanette Airen Performing Arts Studio opened at 1850 E. Thousand Oaks Blvd, Unit B in Thousand Oaks in April 2015. The Lakes at Thousand Oaks

The Lakes at Thousand Oaks is a 7 1/2 acre, 50,000 square foot development next to the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza where you can relax and enjoy park-like landscaping, two lakes with ducks and koi, fountains, waterfalls and a children's play area, while shopping at high-end stores and grabbing a bite.

There is a kids club that meets every Wednesday morning from March through November. And in mid-November through early January, The Lakes hosts a very popular outdoor ice skating rink. The kids always enjoy it here because there is a lot of room to run around, run across the bridge, around the lake, etc.

JCPenney Kids Zone at The Oaks mall in Thousand Oaks takes place from 11 am to noon the 2nd Saturday of each month.

Feb 8: Create a Valentine’s Day Desk Box - Spread the love just in time for Valentine’s Day. The kiddos can create a special box for their valentines & create a card for their favorite teacher at the JCPenney Kids Zone on February 8th from 11am to 12pm. The FREE activity includes fun stickers to create a mermaid or shark themed valentines box with a matching card, a marker and much more!
