Tomol Interpretative Play Area 1

Located at 390 Linden Avenue, Carpinteria, at the northern corner of Carpinteria State Beach Park, the Tomol Interpretive Play Area opened in 2011 through the cooperative efforts of California State Parks, the Morning Rotary Club of Carpinteria, and the City of Carpinteria.

The play area, universally accessible by all visitors, features a Chumash Indian village with slides, cave, sandstone boulders, a "tomol" plank boat, rainbow bridge and other play structures. Definitely something to stop by and check out with your little ones when you are in the area.

The interpretive play area was awarded the Universal Access Award by California State Parks for “outstanding achievement in increasing universal access” by all visitors regardless of physical limitations.

Del Prado Playfield in Dos Vientos Section of Newbury Park

The newest park in the Conejo Valley as of January 2013 is the Del Prado Playfield, located on Calle del Prado between Via Rio and Via Las Brisas in the Dos Vientos section of Newbury Park. This is 26 acre park has a nice variety of things to do, including a unique playground area, 3 lighted softball fields with plenty of soccer space, basketball court, tennis court, two pickleball courts, plenty of walkways, restroom and over 100 parking spots! Reyes Adobe Park in Agoura Hills

Reyes Adobe Park is located at 31400 Rainbow Crest Drive in Agoura Hills, adjacent to the Reyes Adobe Historical Site. It is a decent sized community park with plenty of shade trees, restrooms and a nice playground area as you can see in the video below. The annual Reyes Adobe Days event is staged here at the park too.

Stevenson Riding School in Malibu

Stevenson Riding School offers instruction in English riding and horsecare and teaches all levels and all ages. Certified to teach by the American Riding Instructor Association and the British Horse Society. Learn at your own pace with a patient, fun instructor. Group or private lessons available.

Skate Plaza at Berylwood Park in Simi Valley

The Rancho Simi Recreation and Park District opened the Skate Plaza at Berylwood Park on Wednesday, August 12th, 2020.

Construction of the Skate Plaza began in February 2020 and was completed in early August. The 5,200 square foot Skate Plaza is constructed from pre-cast and case-in-place components and features ramps, low walls, benches, curbs, slide rails, jumps and quarter pipes. Additional park features include a new picnic structure, park benches, walkways, fencing and security lights.

The Skate Plaza was designed with all ages and skill levels in mind. Younger beginning skaters can learn and hone their skills, while advanced skaters can utilize the Skate Plazas more challenging features.

The Plaza is open daily from 8am to 8pm.

The Skate Plaza is located at 1955 Bridget Avenue in Simi Valley.
