Westlake Skate Park

The Westlake Village Skate Park opened in August 2015 at the Westlake Village Community Park at 31107 Thousand Oaks Boulevard. It is open from dawn to dusk to skateboards and inline skates only. No bikes or scooters allowed. The skate park is closed when the surface is wet.

This is an unsupervised skate park. Helmet, elbow and knee pads are required. Adult supervision required for children under the age of 13.

Camarillo Girls Fastpitch Softball League

The Camarillo Girls Fastpitch Softball league is a non-profit organization that operated under the supervision of USA Softball. The league originated in 1984. For girls ages 4 to 16 in T-Ball, 6U, 8U, 10U, 12U and 14U.  Teams play in the spring at locations throughout Camarillo.

Thousand Oaks Teen Center

The Thousand Oaks Teen Center is located at 1375 East Janss Road adjacent to Conejo Creek Park North and the Thousand Oaks Library (near the intersection of Janss and the 23 freeway).

The teen center is funded by the City of Thousand Oaks and is managed by the Conejo Recreation and Park District.  It is a nice sized facility with a gymnasium, classrooms, a 1,700 sq ft game room and computer lab.

Programs includes classes, concerts, dances, camps, leagues, trips and other great activities for kids in 7th through 12th grades.

Camarillo Public Library

The Camarillo Public Library is located at 4101 Las Posas Road. This is a beautiful, nearly 66,000 sq ft state-of-the-art facility that opened in March 2007.

The library is a two-story building with a bookstore, the Giant Steps Cafe in the front courtyard (805.484.0700) adult literacy facility, community room (capacity of 130 to 200), conference room, technology lab and study rooms.

The library's collection is over 270,000 items, including books, DVDs, music CDs, and audio books on CD and MP3. Your library card gives you access to the Camarillo Digital Library with hundreds of eBooks and Audio Books available on the library's website. The eBooks can be read in numerous formats, including computers, iPhones, iPads, Android devices, etc. The library contains the Russell Fischer Business Collection and the Ventura County Genealogical Society collection

The kids section is quite large, with a cool pirate-themed kids area.

The library is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10am to 6pm (as of January 2022).

The Camarillo Library is an independently run city library that is not part of the Ventura County Library System. However, you can use your Camarillo Public Library card to borrow titles from the Moorpark City Library as well as other partner libraries.

Ventura Packers Youth Football and Cheer

Founded in 1967, Ventura Packers Youth Football and Cheer is open to kids ages 6 to 14, including the following age divisions for football:

  • Gremlins (ages 6-7)

  • Peewees (ages 8-9, up to 120 lbs)

  • Bantams (ages 10-11, up to 135 lbs)

  • Midgets (ages 11-12, up to 150 lbs)

  • Juniors (ages 12-13, up to 165 lbs)

  • Seniors (age 13-14, up to 190 lbs)

The Packers are a member of the Pacific Youth Football League.

Newbury Park Steelers Football and Cheer

Newbury Park Steelers Football and Cheer is for kids ages 6 to 14, including the following age divisions:

  • Mighty Mite (ages 6-8)

  • Bantam (ages 8-10)

  • Freshman (ages 9-11)

  • Sophomore (ages 10-12)

  • Junior (ages 11-13)

  • Senior (ages 12-14)

Weight limits apply.

The Steelers are a member of the Gold Coast Youth Football League.

Camarillo Art Center

The Camarillo Art Center is a non-profit, all-volunteer organization which promotes interest in a broad range of visual art forms. The CAC maintains an art gallery for local artists and art students to present their work to the public. CAC also develops various programs, sponsors classes and houses an art library to foster art education.

Located at 3150 Ponderosa Drive, Camarillo, the gallery is open for viewing 1-4 pm Saturday and Sunday.
