The City of Moorpark presents Movies in the Park at Arroyo Vista Community Park, 4550 Tierra Rejada Road. Movies begin at dusk. Gates open an hour prior. Bring lawn chairs, blankets, and enjoy the movie. Vendors available, or bring your own snacks. No animals allowed (except service animals). Free admission.

2024 Port of Hueneme Banana Festival Planned for Saturday, September 28th

The 11th Annual Port of Hueneme Banana Festival will be back on Saturday, September 28, 2024 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Come celebrate our diverse working port and explore its amazing contribution to our community focusing on one of its primary imports….bananas. Enjoy a family-focused day with music, food, entertainers, vendors, arts and crafts, kids activities, and banana-themed attractions.

The festival is located at 105 E. Port Hueneme Road. Free admission and parking at the beach lots.

2024 Summer Concerts in the Park in Moorpark - June to September

The City of Moorpark is hosting Summer Concerts in the Park at Arroyo Vista Park, 4550 Tierra Rejada Road. Free admission! Concerts start at 6 p.m. (except the 9/28 show, which begins at 5pm). Gates open an hour prior.

The Lineup:

  • Aug 24: The Kings of 88 (Classic Piano Rock)

  • Sept 28: Moorpark Symphony Orchestra (5PM)

Bring lawn chairs or blankets to sit in the grass and enjoy the music.  Food vendors will be onsite, but you are welcome to bring outside food and beverages (beer and wine okay, no hard alcohol). No canopies or umbrellas will be allowed within 100 feet of the stage. No animals allowed in the event space except service animals.

2024 Sounds of Conejo Marching Band Celebration at Thousand Oaks High School on Saturday, September 23rd

The 16th Annual Sounds of Conejo marching band field show exhibition will feature the performances of the Thousand Oaks, Simi Valley, Oxnard, Ventura, Buena, Oak Park, Moorpark, El Camino Real, Camarillo and Westlake high school marching bands. The event will be held at the Thousand Oaks High School Football Stadium on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at 7PM (gates open at 6PM).
 
The event will conclude with a grand finale, combining all high school marching bands playing together on one field, a sight you will not see at any other band show this season.

(Additionally, the Colina Middle School and Los Cerritos Middle School bands will combine to perform the national anthem.)
 
Tickets will be $20 for adults and $10 for student, seniors and military. Pay with cash or credit card at the field box office.
 
The Thousand Oaks High School Football Stadium is located at 2323 N. Moorpark Road.

Inaugural Simi Valley Apricot Festival on Saturday, September 21, 2024

The Simi Valley Apricot Festival takes place at Strathearn Historical Park, 137 Strathearn Place, on Saturday, September 21, 2024. There will be entertainment, food, games, vendors, crafts, historical presentations, makers’ market, car show and a plant sale. Apricot infused drinks and food items will be available for purchase. 27th Annual Oxnard Multicultural Festival on Saturday, October 5, 2024

The 27th Annual Oxnard Multicultural Festival is presented by the City of Oxnard's Community Relations Commission.

The festival is held annually on the first Saturday of October. The festival celebrates the rich cultural diversity of its residents and the city’s history. People of every culture come together to learn and discover their shared values in an atmosphere that honors all.

The festival offers a variety of performing groups, live music, food trucks, exhibitors, demonstrations and hands-on activities for the entire family. Admission is always free.   The 2024 event is Saturday, October 5th from 10am to 4pm at Plaza Park, 500 South C Street in Oxnard.

Haunted High Street Event in Moorpark on Thursday, October 31, 2024

Join the City of Moorpark on Halloween night for some spooky family fun on historic High Street! Admission is free, and there is a nominal fee for games and some attractions. Activities will include a trunk-or-treat, Halloween carnival (suitable for ages 3-10) and attractions (carnival tickets $5 advance purchase until October 30th online); $10 at the gate, cash only), a costume contest, haunted house, DJ music, food trucks and more! Event hours are 4-7pm and will e held in the north Metrolink parking lot. Event parking will be at the south Metrolink parking lot.
