Looking for something fun to do after the Rose Parade in Pasadena? Check out the Floatfest: A Rose Parade Showcase on Wednesday, January 1, 2025 from 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. (4 p.m. last entry), Thursday, January 2 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (4 p.m. last entry), and Friday, January 3 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (3 p.m. last entry) to get an up close view of the beautiful floats appearing in the Rose Parade.

Senior citizens and disabled visitors welcome for an early viewing on January 2nd from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m.

Rose Parade floats are required to be completely covered by flowers or other natural materials, such as leaves, seeds or bark. You will enjoy seeing this incredible work up close and with your camera handy!

Wear comfortable walking shoes! Viewing all the floats will require walking a distance of approximately 2.5 miles and will take at least two hours.

Holiday Open House at Strathearn Historical Park in Simi Valley on Sunday, December 1, 2024

The Simi Valley Historical Society invites the community to a Holiday Open House from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, December 2, 2024 at Strathearn Historical Park and Museum, 137 Strathearn Place, behind the Madera Target store.

The event is free! The park will be decorated for the holidays with Santa available for pictures until 2 p.m. Activities include face painting, live holiday music, historical demonstrations, holiday shopping, vintage and antique cars on display, and more.

Historic buildings will be decorated with docents giving informal tours.

38th Annual Spring Art & Crafts Festival in Newbury Park on March 1, 2025

The Conejo Recreation & Park District hosts its 38th Annual Art & Crafts Festival on March 1, 2025 at the Borchard Community Center, 190 Reino Road, Newbury Park. The free event runs from 10:00am to 4:00pm and will take place rain or shine.

Simi Valley Police Department Touch A Truck Event on Saturday, November 30, 2024

The Simi Valley Police Department is hosting its annual Touch A Truck event on Saturday, November 30, 2024 from 9am to 2pm at the Simi Valley City Hall front parking lot, 2929 Tapo Canyon Road. In lieu of admission, please bring new, unwrapped toys to be donated to Spark of Love.

There will be trucks and equipment on display from the Simi Valley Police Department, Ventura County Fire, Public Works, and various other public and private organizations. Everyone, especially kids will be allowed access to these vehicles and adults will be able to interact with those persons that use the vehicles and equipment.

The purpose of this event is to raise funds to not only support the Holiday Toy Drive, but also to support unfunded programs, services and technology for the Simi Valley Police Department. These include support for the K9 program, "Save a Life" AED program, Police Explores, SWAT, Bicycle Patrol, Every 15 Minutes program, Crime Prevention, Parenting Project, and many other worthy programs.

2024 Ventura Winter Wine Walk & Holiday Street Fair on Saturday, December 7th

The Ventura Winter Wine Walk & Holiday Street Fair will take place in downtown Ventura on Saturday, December 7, 2024 from 12 pm-8 pm.

The day kicks off with the Holiday Street Fair starting at 12 pm from the Museum of Ventura County through the 600 block of Main Street with vendors and live entertainment. Shop artists, crafters, non-profit organizations, commercial and food vendors. The street fair and entertainment are free and open to the public!

At 4 pm, the Ventura Winter Wine Walk gets started! The wine walk will showcase world class wineries in your favorite downtown businesses.
