30th Annual Angels Wine, Food & Brew Festival in Camarillo on Sunday, June 2, 2024

One of Ventura County’s premier celebrations of gastronomy, fine wines and community spirit will mark its 30th anniversary as Casa Pacifica presents the annual Angels Wine, Food & Brew Festival on Sunday, June 2, 2024 at California State University Channel Islands. Voted the Best Food & Drink Festival and Best Charity Event for the past 12 years, the Angels Wine, Food & Brew Festival brings together the pinnacle of talent of Ventura County’s food and wine scene, including renowned restauranteurs, chefs, vinters and breweries. Owners, chefs and artisans will be on hand to pour, serve and interact with attendees, making the Festival one of the most personal and convenient ways to discover the region’s delicious bounty. Admission includes access to a diverse selection of delicious food, premium wines and tasty craft brews from more than 100 exhibitors, along with live musical entertainment from the VIP Lounge and main stage.

12th Annual Autism Society of Ventura County Aut2Run Event on Sunday, April 28, 2024

The Autism Society of Ventura County hosts its 12th Annual charity “Aut2Run!” race at California State University Channel Islands on Sunday, April 28, 2024.

2024 Rolling For Pink Bunko Tournament in Camarillo on Saturday, June 8th

Rolling for Pink is a non-profit organization that raises funds for BREAST CANCER RESEARCH.

This year will be the 14th Annual Rolling for Pink (RFP) Bunko Tournament! The event is a unique, fun, high-energy way to support the loved ones in our lives that are affected by this terrible disease. In addition to the bunko tournament, all guests at the event receive a goody bag, food and drinks. Must be 21 and over to attend. Tickets go on sale May 6 at rollingforpink.org.

Inaugural Wild Oaks Country Music Festival in Thousand Oaks on Saturday, June 3rd

The first annual Wild Oaks Country Music Festival will take place Saturday, June 3 in Thousand Oaks and will feature some of Nashville’s favorite country artists.

Performers set to appear include country chart-topping Craig Morgan, Grammy-nominated CAM, and local favorites Justin Honsinger and Chris Johnson and the Hollywood Hillbillies (straight from the Cowboy Palace in Chatsworth).

The festival also features line dancing and lessons, a live DJ, food trucks, kids’ activities, Hot Summer Night People’s Choice Best Hot Sauce tastings and over 75 vendors and booths.

Event takes place from noon to 7 p.m. at Conejo Creek Park South, 1300 E. Janss Road.

Presented by the Rotary Club of Westlake Village, all net proceeds go to local nonprofit groups.

SoCal Ride & Rally to Defeat ALS in Newbury Park on Saturday, May 6, 2023

The 7th annual SoCal Ride and Rally to Defeat ALS is a one-day community event designed to appeal to every level of cyclist, hiker, walker and supporter of The Golden West Chapter of The ALS Association. It's all happening on May 6 at Dos Vientos Community Park from 7:30am to 2pm. This fundraiser helps support members of the local community who are impacted by ALS Disease.

Cyclists can take the 40-mile or 25-mile route with a lovely rest stop at the Elks Lodge in Thousand Oaks. Hikers have a 6-mile outing on the Powerline Trail. A wheelchair-friendly Family Walk of .7 miles around the park will also be available. Registration fees start at $20 for the Family Walk, $35 for the hike and $55 for bike riders. Fees increase on April 1.

Coffee, bagels and fresh fruit are provided at the start of the activities. Upon crossing the finish line participants partake of a delicious lunch, live music, and refreshing beverages.
