The Free Clinic of Simi Valley, in partnership with Simi Valley Hospital, presents the Fredrick Michael Gibson 5K/10K & Half Marathon Walk/Run for Depression Awareness and Kids’ 1K Fun Run at Rancho Simi Community Park, 1765 Royal Avenue, Simi Valley (near the tennis courts at Erringer and Royal). Event will take place on Sunday, October 13, 2024 at 7 am (Half Marathon), 8:15 am (5K/10K) and 9:30 am (Kids’ Run).

Funds raised from this event will benefit the Free Clinic of Simi Valley's Counseling Programs. Everyday, the Free Clinic is saving lives, improving the health of the community, and reducing health care costs for residents of Simi Valley. The Clinic does this through preventing visits to hospital emergency departments, which are costly and provide no continuity of care.

12th Annual Thousand Oaks Kiwanis BrewFest on Sunday, August 4, 2024

The 12th Annual Kiwanis TO BrewFest will be held on Sunday, August August 4, 2024 at Conejo Creek Park North (behind the Thousand Oaks Library on Janss Road) from 2 PM to 6 PM.

Unlimited pours by breweries, wineries, and spirit vendors, unlimited food tasting from local restaurants, silent auction, and live music. NEW this year, we will have a non-alcoholic brew section! Attendees receive a limited edition BrewFest collector glass (while supplies last). 30th Anniversary Love Run 5K/10K/1 Mile Run in Westlake Village on June 2, 2024

The Senior Concerns 30th Anniversary Love Run, presented by Logix, is planned for Sunday, June 2, 2024 in Westlake Village. The races start and finish at 3011 Townsgate Road.

Runners and walkers can participate in a 10K, 5K or one-mile fun run. It is the perfect event for the entire family. Virtual runs are also available.

This annual event supports Senior Concerns’ Meals On Wheels Program, which helps ensure homebound seniors do not go without food. Senior Concerns has been delivering Meals On Wheels since its founding in 1975. Senior Concerns delivers more than 6,000 meals per month to homebound seniors in Thousand Oaks, Newbury Park, Westlake Village, Agoura Hills, and Oak Park.

In a beautiful outdoor garden, guests will enjoy live entertainment with Ugandan dancers, African drumming, storytelling, and international foods and refreshments. 47th Annual Thousand Oaks Chili Cook-Off, Car Show and Craft Brew Festival on Sunday, May 5, 2024

Mark your calendars for the 47th Annual Thousand Oaks Chili Cook-Off, Car Show & Craft Brew Festival on Sunday, May 5, 2024. Held from noon – 5pm (11:00 am entry for VIP tickets), this family friendly extravaganza will take place at Conejo Creek Park North at Janss Rd & Hwy 23 in Thousand Oaks.

There will be over 40 chili tasting booths – and included with your general admission is free unlimited chili tasting. Returning again is the popular Craft Brew Festival – an event within an event – with a multitude of participating breweries! There will also be a Classic & Custom Car Show in several style and vintage categories and live music on two stages.
