Decker Kitchen closed its doors in Thousand Oaks in December, but today we learned that it will be returning to the Conejo Valley. Its new location will be at the Lake Lindero Country Club, at the corner of Lake Lindero Drive and Thousand Oaks Boulevard. www.deckerkitchen.com
After a two year wait, the Michoacan a Pedir de Boca Ice Cream Shop is "soft opening" on Saturday, April 27th around 1pm or so in the North Oaks Plaza at 1044 E. Avenida de los Arboles in Thousand Oaks, next to Manny's Mexican Grill. Over 20 delicious ice cream flavors and 30 different freshly made ice cream bars. Corrigan’s Steak House in Thousand Oaks closed its doors in late 2018. The building was sold and has undergone remodeling since then. Today, the signs of the new eatery went up - “Old Oaks Steakhouse.” No other details or time frame at this point. There is a website at oldoakssteakhouse.com that presumably is associated with this new eatery.
Cafe Ficelle opened on Wednesday, April 10th at 1710 Thousand Oaks Blvd, across from Denino's Pizza. Hours are 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily. Beautiful buildout. www.cafeficelle.com

UPDATE 8/13/24: La Poblana Mexican Grill is now open in the Village Square Shopping Center at 540 N. Moorpark Road, just south of Wilbur. Owned by the same folks that own the La Poblanita Taco Truck that parks by the 76 Station at 420 E. T.O. Blvd in Thousand Oaks. Offers all the standard Mexican fare...tacos, burritos, enchiladas, quesadillas, tortas, huaraches, fajitas, and more. Menu at bit.ly/poblana
Looks like "La Poblana" is in the works at the former home of The Raspado House (and before that, The Healthy Place) in the Village Square Shopping Center at 540 N. Moorpark Road, just south of Wilbur. No other details at this point in time.
“Juice & Boba” opened today at the University Shopping Center (aka Trader Joe’s Plaza) in Thousand Oaks at the northwest corner of Avenida de los Arboles and Moorpark Road.
Located in the former Subway between PJ’s Pub and Allegro Italian Restaurant, Juice & Boba offers juice, boba specialties, fresh smoothies, fruit teas, coffee, snow milk, and more.

Cedro Italian Restaurant opened on January 18th at 2385 Michael Drive in Newbury Park, in the former home of Stella’s. Initially open for dinner nightly (closed Mondays), they indicate at some point there will be lunch service.
This new eatery was founded by three Italian friends, inspired by their shared heritage and their grandparents’ love for cedro plants. Check out their menu at www.cedrorestaurant.com.
