43rd Annual Wings Over Camarillo Airshow on August 17-18, 2024

The Camarillo Wings Association will host the 2024 Wings Over Camarillo Air Show with support from volunteers from the Southern California Wing of the Commemorative Air Force, EAA Chapter 723 and the Ventura County 99s.

The event will take place August 17 and 18, 2024 at the Camarillo Airport. Gates open at 9am and close at 8pm Saturday and 6pm Sunday. Aerial performances run from noon to approximately 4pm.

The air show includes aerobatic performances from classic warbirds from the CAF, military aircraft, experimental aircraft, and more. On the ground will be a classic car show, aircraft display models, food vendors, craft beer, STEM Pavilion, robotics exhibition, and more.

This 43rd-anniversary event will feature a unique tribute to our military veterans that includes a recreation of wartime air combat with stunning pyrotechnics of fire and controlled explosions.  Military aircraft, past and present, will be on display for an up-close and personal one-of-a-kind experience.  This year, visitors can enjoy a Flight Line Preview from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., and the pilots and crew will be on hand to answer any questions and talk about the unique history of the aircraft.

General admission purchased in advance is $30 per day for adults, $20 for active military with ID and $10 for youth 6 to 16 (plus service fees). Under 6 free. Buy tickets in advance to save. Credit cards only accepted at the gate.

2023 Point Mugu Air Show Planned for March 18-19 at Naval Base Ventura County

The U.S. Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron, the Blue Angels, will be joined by the U.S. Air Force Demonstration Squadron, the Thunderbirds, as co-headliners for the 2023 Point Mugu Air Show March 18-19, at Naval Base Ventura County (NBVC), 311 Main Road, Point Mugu.

For 77 years, the Blue Angels have showcased the teamwork and professionalism of the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps through flight demonstrations and community outreach while inspiring a culture of excellence and service to country for nearly 500 million fans. The Blues showcase the mainstay of modern Naval air power operating off U.S. aircraft carriers, the combat-proven F/A-18 Super Hornet, along with the Marine Corps' premiere logistics support aircraft, the C-130J.

The Thunderbirds perform for people all around the world to display the pride, precision, and professionalism the U.S. Air Force represents. Through air shows and flyovers, they aim to excite and inspire. In addition to showcasing the elite skills all pilots must possess, the Thunderbirds demonstrate the incredible capabilities of the Air Force’s premier multi-role fighter jet, the F-16 Fighting Falcon.

The Point Mugu Air Show will be the third time America’s premiere demonstration squadrons have performed at the same public event, and the first time at Point Mugu.

The Point Mugu Air Show, Ventura County’s largest public event, is open to the public on March 18, 19, 2023. Gates open at 8 a.m. daily. Honors/national anthem at 10 a.m. Performances begin at noon.

Parking, admission, and blanket seating are free. Upgraded preferred seating options will be available.

NBVC is a strategically located Navy installation composed of three operating facilities: Point Mugu, Port Hueneme and San Nicolas Island. NBVC is the home of the Pacific Seabees, West Coast E-2D Hawkeyes, 3 warfare centers and 80 tenants.

Commemorative Air Force Airpower History Tour in Camarillo April 18-23, 2017

The Commemorative Air Force Airpower History Tour, a National Air Tour of Historic WWII Aircraft, flies in to the Camarillo Airport at the CAF So Cal Wing, 445 Aviation Drive, on Tuesday, April 18 through Sunday, April 23, 2017 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.

Ramp access cost is $15 for adults and $8 for youth (ages 11 to 17. Children 10 and under are free. Price includes B-29 cockpit tour when the aircraft is available. 

Aircraft tours available as follows:

  • Tues-Fri 4/18-4/21: Aircraft tours start at 9 a.m.
  • Sat-Sun 4/22-4/23: B-29 flies at 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Tours available after noon.

Attending aircraft include the B-29 Superfortress FIFI, the premiere bomber of WWII (ride times available at Sat/Sun online), C-45 Expeditor Bucke of Bolts (ride times sold onsite - seats start at $75), T-6 Texan, the legendary trainer of WWII (ride times sold onsite) and Fairchild PT-19, an open cockpit trainer (ride times sold onsite).
