The community is invited to join in celebrating veterans and current members of the military who have served our country and our community at the 25th Annual Malibu Veteran’s Day Public Ceremony, Monday, November 11, 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM at Malibu City Hall

The theme of this year’s event is “A Quarter Century of Honor.” Keynote speaker is Pat Boone. Program is 11am to 12:30pm. Refreshments 12:30-1:30pm.

City of Malibu Bu Bash Halloween Carnival on Friday, October 25, 2024

The City of Malibu Community Services Department presents the Bu Bash Halloween Carnival Spooktacular on Friday, October 25, 2024 from 2PM to sunset at Malibu Bluffs Park. Event is for ages 2-10 and features arts and crafts, carnival games, costume cat walk, bounce houses, food trucks, trick or treat street and more. $10 per participant (kids only). Ride to the Flags Memorial Charity Motorcycle Ride on Sunday, September 8, 2024

Ride to the Flags began in 2008, accompanying the Wave of Flags 9/11 Memorial at Pepperdine University. Although not officially associated with the collegiate memorial - the ride does end at the memorial for a short service. Ride to the Flags is an all volunteer, charity ride that in the past has donated hundreds of thousands of dollars for wounded warriors in need. In 2023 and beyond, the ride supports veteran mental health through the White Heart Foundation’s Guardian Project.

This year's ride will take place on Sunday, September 8, 2024.

Check-in from 7:30am to 9:30am at Naval Base Ventura County, followed by a ceremony at 10am. The ride starts at 11am down PCH, ending at Malibu Bluffs Park for a rally.

2024 Malibu Chili Cook-Off August 30 to September 2

The 2024 Annual Malibu Chili Cook-Off will take place on Labor Day weekend, August 30 to September 2 at 23575 Civic Center Way. Hosted by the Boys & Girls Club of Malibu.

ADVANCE TICKET SALES ONLY! TICKETS WILL NOT BE SOLD ONSITE. Tickets at malibuchilicookoff.org.. Carnival tickets will be sold separately.

Event hour are 4-10PM Friday, 1-10PM Saturday/Sunday and 1-8PM Monday.

24th Annual Chumash Day Powwow and Intertribal Gathering in Malibu on Saturday/Sunday, April 6-7, 2024.

The Chumash Day Powwow celebrates Native Americans from all over the country, representing hundreds of tribes who will gather at Malibu Bluffs Park. This is a non-competitive powwow. Food trucks, craft vendors, tribal ceremonies and dances will be a part of the event on both days. Admission is free. Hours 10am to 6pm.

Offsite parking only at 23575 Civic Center Way and for ADA, 23825 Stuart Ranch Road. Free shuttle rides to Malibu Bluffs Park.

Free Family Holiday Events at Malibu Country Mart on Saturdays, December 10, 17, 2022

On Saturday, December 10 and Saturday, December 17 from noon to 4pm, Malibu Country Mart is hosting two days of celebrations. During both events, visitors can take photos with Santa & Mrs. Claus, visit with live reindeer, listen to carolers, write letters to Santa and drop them off in our North Pole-bound mailbox and enjoy winter-ready treats, including s'mores and hot cocoa. All activities are free to experience.

Malibu Country Mart celebrates the holiday season throughout December by transforming the seaside shopping and dining destination into a winter wonderland. Trimmed with festive holiday décor, the shopping destination features a beautifully decorated Christmas tree, a light-up menorah for Hanukkah and twinkling lights.
