The Moorpark Field of Valor is a patriotic tribute honoring all Veterans and Active Duty Military personnel for their dedication and service to our nation, preserving our security, our independence, and our freedom. Flags will be proudly be displayed, each dedicated in honor of a friend or family member.

The proceeds from the Moorpark Morning Rotary’s Field of Valor event will go to various non-profit organizations that provide direct support to local veterans and the families of our deployed military.

A company or individual can sponsor or purchase flag(s) (3ft x 4ft) honoring a deceased veteran friend or family member.

The Moorpark Field of Valor event on Memorial Day will include color guards, bagpipes and a moving tribute to our community’s latest fallen hero. Throughout the event various guest speakers, concerts and singers will provide an exciting and magnificent tribute to our deceased veterans.

Bring the entire family along with your blanket, picnic basket, and personal tributes to this FREE event.

2024 Happy Face Music Festival in Simi Valley on Saturday, May 25th

The 3rd Annual Happy Face Music Festival in Simi Valley takes place on Saturday, May 25, 2024 from noon to 7pm at Rancho Santa Susana Community Park, 5005 E. Los Angeles Avenue in Simi Valley.

A spectacular day of live music and entertainment in the community known for its famous happy face.

Grab your blankets and lawn chairs and get ready to bask in the sun, surrounded by breathtaking hilltop views at the Happy Face Festival in Simi Valley. Pierce Brothers Valley Oaks-Griffin Memorial Park at 5600 Lindero Canyon Road in Westlake Village will host its 33rd Annual Memorial Day event on May 27, 2024 in honor of those who have proudly served our country. This event is free and open to the public. There will be beautiful music, a band, and a flyover.

Limited parking available at memorial park. Additional parking available at Costco.

Band concert begins at 10:30am | Program begins at 11:00am

Memorial Day Event at the Reagan Library in Simi Valley on May 27, 2024

Visit the Reagan Library this Memorial Day to honor the fallen men and women who served in the United States Military. The program will include live musical entertainment by harpist Thomas Baker, a flyover by the Tiger Squadron (weather permitting), a Color Guard, an Invocation by Naval Base Ventura County Command Chaplain Aristotle Rivera, and the following speakers:

Remarks by Captain Robert Kimnach III, Commanding Officer, Naval Base Ventura County
Remarks by Tony Cordero, Gold Star Family Member
Keynote Remarks by Patricia Blassie, Gold Star Family Member

This event will be held outdoors by the Reagan Library’s Gold Star Family Memorial. All Memorial Day programming is free to attend.  Admission rates apply to view the Reagan Museum, Air Force One Pavilion, and the library’s latest exhibit, Defending America & The Galaxy: Star Wars and SDI.

Once the main parking lot is full, guests will be directed to park on Presidential Drive. Complimentary shuttles will be running to bring guests to the Reagan Library.

Music starts at 9:00 a.m. and the main program starts at 10 a.m.
