The Thousand Oaks Library LibCon Pop Culture Convention will take place on Saturday, August 10, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, and Sunday, August 11, from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Pre-register for the event to get exclusive updates and an opportunity to win a special LibCon pin! Free tote bags and lanyards will be available to attendees while supplies last. Gundam Model Building Class

Learn the basics steps of how to build your own Gundam model. Participants will get to take home one Entry Grade RX-78-2 Gundam model kit, a par of hobby nippers, and a Gundam marker. For ages 11+. Registration required.

Directly after the author talk, Kazu Kibuishi will be available to sign books. Books can either be brought from home or purchased at the Friends of the Library Table.

The 501st Legion is an international costuming organization dedicated to celebrating Star Wars by creating and using quality costumes that portray the villainous, morally ambiguous, or non-partisan characters from the Star Wars universe.

Take a break from the crowds to relax and watch some anime. Open to all ages with parental consent. A list of anime titles, their US ratings, and scheduled times will be displayed outside the room.
