The Conejo Recreation & Park District’s 2025 Touch-A-Truck will be held on Saturday, June 14th, from 10:00am-2:00pm at Thousand Oaks Community Park, 2525 N. Moorpark Rd. in Thousand Oaks.

This popular event allows kids to have fun kicking the tires, honking the horns, and climbing up into the driver’s seat of their favorite trucks and construction vehicles such as a garbage truck, an Army truck, tractor, excavator, dump truck, school bus, fire engine, ambulance, bulldozer, police cruiser, SWAT vehicle, K-9 and search and rescue vehicles, motorcycles, and more!

In addition to dozens of trucks and vehicles of all shapes and sizes, there are tons of fun activities, including arts and crafts, a kids’ construction zone, jolly jumps, and a motorized train ride. Water balloons will drop from a cherry picker, and beach balls will be unloaded from a dump truck! The parking lot fills up quickly, so be prepared to park at the Thousand Oaks High School parking lot. Admission is free for all ages. Food trucks will be onsite. 2025 City of Moorpark Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 19th

The Annual City of Moorpark Easter Egg Hunt takes place on Saturday, April 19, 2025 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at Arroyo Vista Community Park, 4550 Tierra Rejada Road, Moorpark

Admission is paid per child (ages 1+) (adults enter free with paid children) and must be purchased in advance. Infants under one enter free with paid sibling.

  • Wristbands purchased 3/3-3/31: $10 per child

  • Wristbands purchased 4/1-4/17: $13 per child

  • If available, wristbands may be sold at the event for $16 per child.

Wristbands are your child's admission to the event and allow them to participate in one (1) time-specific egg hunt, and unlimited access to carnival games, attractions, and crafts.

To purchase wristbands you must come in person to the Arroyo Vista Recreation Center (4550 Tierra Rejada Road, open Mon-Fri 8:30-6:00).

Children will enjoy an event full of Easter fun with age-appropriate egg hunts, photo opps with the Easter Bunny, crafts, carnival games, and attractions (bounce houses, slide, obstacle course, and petting zoo).

How it works: Bring your favorite basket, collect as many eggs as you can, and turn them all in for a prize! For safety reasons, parents are allowed in hunts only as indicated in the schedule. Strollers and pets are not allowed in any egg hunt. All hunts are age specific. Please note that each hunt has a maximum capacity. A Family Hunt is available toward the end of the event if your hunt is full. Prizes distributed at this event are not recommended for children under 3 years of age.

The Bunny Trail Junior Egg Hunt at De Anza Park in Calabasas on Saturday, April 12, 2025

The Bunny Trail Jr. Egg Hunt for kids 8 and under will take place on Saturday, April 12, 2025 from 9 am to noon at Juan Bautista de Anza Park, 3701 Lost Hills Road in Calabasas.

Travel the De Anza Park trail loop and stop to visit farm animals, hunt for eggs, enjoy craft activities and hop through a bunny obstacle course. Easter Bunny will be on hand for family photos.

Loop takes about 30 minutes. Maximum 15 children per time slot. Start times every 10 minutes from 9am to 11:50am.

$5.00 Per Child. Includes crafts, prizes and candy (stuffed toys available for children under 3)

No walk-ups on event day.

Oak Park Egg Scramble Event at Mae Boyar Park on Saturday, April 19, 2025

The Rancho Simi Recreation & Park District Egg Scramble Event is planned for Saturday, April 19, 2025 at Mae Boyar Park, 130 N. Kanan Road, Oak Park from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

The egg hunt is for ages 10 and under (BYOB - Bring Your Own Basket):

  •     Ages 2 and under at 9:30 a.m.

  •     Ages 3-5 at 10 a.m.

  •     Ages 6-7 at 10:30 a.m.

  •     Ages 8-10 at 11:00 a.m.

Free of charge. Rain cancels the event.

The Conejo Recreation and Park District Flashlight Egg Hunt will take place at multiple neighborhood park locations in the Conejo Valley on Friday, April 11, 2025 from 6-9PM at:

  • Old Meadows Park - 1600 Marview Drive, Thousand Oaks

  • Borchard Community Park - 190 N. Reino Road, Newbury Park

  • Conejo Community Park - 1175 Hendrix Avenue, Thousand Oaks

Ladyface Mountain Film Festival in Agoura Hills February 6-8

The Inaugural Ladyface Mountain Film Festival is planned for Thursday, February 6th through Saturday, February 8th. Some activities are free of charge; others require the purchase of tickets.

Opening day activities on the 6th include a free community hike to the top of Ladyface Mountain at 9:30 a.m., a kid-friendly community events and screening of Tiny Tree Concert and performance by film’s subject from 2:30-4:30 p.m. at the Agoura Library, film screenings at Regancy Agoura at 5 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., and party at Sunrose California Eatery at 8 p.m.

Friday activities include film screenings all day at Regency Agoura, starting at 11 a.m. until 8:30 p.m., followed by a Filmmaker Networking Mixer at 9p.m. at the Courtyard Marriott.

Saturday features Agoura and beyond and student short screenings at the Agoura Hills Rec & Event Center from 10 a.m. to noon, dedicated documentary breakout rooms and art show with lunch at the Rec & Event Center from noon to 2:30 p.m., film screenings at Regency Agoura from 3-7:30 p.m., and closing reception with beer and wine at Whizin Market Square from 8-9:30 p.m.

The 25th Annual Chumash Day Powwow and Intertribal Gathering has been postponed to 2026 due to the after effects of the Broad, Franklin, and Palisades Fires. The 2026 event will take place in April, and additional information regarding the event will be posted by the City of Malibu in late 2025.

The Chumash Day Powwow celebrates Native Americans from all over the country, representing hundreds of tribes who will gather at Malibu Bluffs Park. This is a non-competitive powwow. Food trucks, craft vendors, tribal ceremonies and dances will be a part of the event on both days. Admission is free. Hours 10am to 6pm.

Offsite parking only at 23575 Civic Center Way and for ADA, 23825 Stuart Ranch Road. Free shuttle rides to Malibu Bluffs Park.

This family-friendly event features interactive activities, crafts, live musical performances, and special appearances by presidential and first lady look-alikes. Highlights include performances by the Justin Honsinger band and the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) Concert Band.
