The 6th Annual “Stronger Families, Safer Kids” 5K will take place on Saturday, May 2, 2020 at Oxnard State Park / Mandalay Beach, 1601 S. Harbor Blvd., Oxnard.

The Partnership for Safe Families and its members recognize the impact that child abuse and neglect has on families and communities. Child abuse and neglect can have enduring physical, intellectual, and psychological repercussions into adolescence and adulthood. All types of child abuse and neglect have long lasting effects throughout life, damaging a child’s sense of self, ability to have healthy relationships, and ability to function at home, at work and at school.

Your support will help to raise awareness in Ventura County about how we can all work together to strengthen families and protect our children.

Benefiting kids affected by disability, the 2nd Annual PrayFit 5K & 1-Mile Walk-N-Roll will be hosted by Calvary Community Church in Westlake Village on Saturday, May 2, 2020.

Registration includes finisher medals, t-shirts and age group awards for the 5K/10K.

100% of the proceeds of The PrayFit 5K will go to benefit kids and families affected by disabilities.

MUDDY WARRIORS™ XPERIENCE is a trail run that will test your strength, overall fitness and your will. This is not a traditional race. You will be challenged over trails, hills and fun obstacles. You may register as an individual or register with a team. The MW XPERIENCE is about not quitting, helping people around you that need it and pushing yourself outside of your comfort zone. Celebrate St. Patrick's Day with the Calabasas Shamrock Shuffle 5K & Fun Run along the beautiful roads of Calabasas. With a race start and finish at the Agoura Hills / Calabasas Community Center runners will enjoy the post-race St. Patrick's Day Celebration featuring Live Irish Music, Kids Inflatables / Carnival Games, Face Painting, Irish Step Dancers, Beer Garden featuring an Irish Coffee Bar, and much more!

Online Registration Closes Thursday Evening, March 12th at 11:59pm.

After online registration closes you can register in person at the expo on Friday from 11am - 7pm or at the race starting at 7:30am. Both the expo and the race take place at the Agoura Hills / Calabasas Community Center (27040 Malibu Hills Rd, Calabasas)

5K participants are welcome to join the Fun Run at no additional fee.

This July 4th, join in on the 2nd Annual 4th of July 5K/10K Run-Walk at Dos Vientos in Newbury Park at 7:30am. Race proceeds benefit the Jewel Levine Foundation. The mission of the Foundation is to provide hope, support, and monetary assistance to individuals and families that are under financial duress caused by extreme circumstances or life threatening medical conditions.

Danielle 'Missy' Marquis founded The Jewel Levine Foundation to honor her grandmother, Jewel Levine. Jewel struggled with kidney failure for over 15 years and went to dialysis three days a week. During this period Jewel faced numerous complications, yet never complained. “She was always up-beat and she stressed the importance of helping others,” explained Danielle. Jewel passed away in 2013, and in 2016 Danielle, with the support of her family, created the foundation to keep Jewel’s positive spirit alive through good works.

The 805 Strong 5K Run/Walk for the Ventura County Community Foundation is a fundraising event to support the Conejo Valley Victims Fund (Borderline shooting) and the Hill Fire/Woolsey Fire Sudden and Urgent Needs Effort Fund. The event is planned for Sunday, December 16, 2018 at 7:30am.

Event to take place at Thousand Oaks Community Park, 2525 N. Moorpark Road, Thousand Oaks. Donation $35.
