CVG Facebook Page follower Nick A sent over this photo of Zankou Chicken “coming soon!” to the space previously occupied by Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf (closed in June 2020) at 487 North Moorpark Road in Thousand Oaks. Zankou Chicken serves rotisserie chicken, tri tip shawerma, Chicken Tarna (similar to shawarma) kabobs and more.
This will be the first Ventura County location of Zankou Chicken. Zankou opened its first location in Hollywood in 1984, followed by Glendale in 1992 and Burbank in 2005. More information at www.zankouchicken.la/locations.php.
Sad to report that after 6 years in business, Five Threads Brewing Company in Westlake Village will be closing after the last beer is served this Sunday, January 30th. The owners indicate "we have not been able to scale up our sales fast enough to cover rising expenses and we find ourselves at the end of our funds." More info at fivethreadsbrewingco.com.

Meggan spotted this Tiki Taco "coming soon" sign up above the former Draughts Restaurant & Bar in the Best Buy Plaza in Thousand Oaks. I was unable to find any other information about Tiki Taco. Meanwhile, Amy's Drive Thru (organic, vegetarian food) will be constructed across the way.
Regency Westlake Village Twin announced via Facebook yesterday that its final day of operation is Monday, January 17th. It has operated for 23 years. Sad to see a small boutique theater like this close its doors. Let’s see what’s next for this location at 4711 Lakeview Canyon Road, Westlake Village in the County Line Shopping Center.

Wild Fork Foods Meat & Seafood Market is coming soon to the Northgate Plaza, southwest corner of Westlake and Thousand Oaks Boulevards in Thousand Oaks. The sign is posted on the standalone spot previously occupied by Maya Mexican Cuisine, Cut 360 Steakhouse, The Napa Tavern and Piatti Ristorante.

Twisted Oak Tavern & Brewery announced today that it will be closing its Agoura Hills location at 30105 Agoura Road at close of business this Sunday, January 16th. That said, its newer location in the historic J.F. Lewis & Sons building at 2433 Ventura Boulevard in Old Town Camarillo remains open.
Owners of Twisted Oak Tavern originally opened The LAB Brewing Co. on November 1, 2011 after closing MOZ Buddha Lounge there in May 2011. The LAB subsequently became Twisted Oak Tavern in January 2015.
