The 4th of July Celebration at Channel Islands Harbor offers a full day of activities, entertainment, and great food. Come and enjoy exhibits, an artists’ market, children’s rides and games and finish the day with a spectacular fireworks show at 9 p.m. Free event.

The Conejo Orchid Society will hold its annual Orchid Show and Sale fundraiser June 7 - 9 at the Thousand Oaks Library (Grant Brimhall Library), 1401 E. Janss Rd., Thousand Oaks. This free event will be an opportunity to learn about orchids and the Conejo Orchid Society. Learn how to care for your orchids. Shop for some great bargains and try your hand at growing some of the most beautiful and unusual plants in the world.
This event includes an exhibit of members’ orchids, and a wide range of inexpensive, easy-to-grow orchids for sale. Several hundred orchids from quality orchid nurseries and society member divisions will be available. Many can be grown outdoors in Southern California. Other available items will include “companion plants”, such as tillandsias, and succulents, grown by Society members, and orchid potting mix.
Demonstrations will show how to repot and care for orchids. Society members will be available to provide guidance on how best to grow your new orchids and will answer your questions.
The hours of the Orchid Show and Sale are Friday, June 7 – Noon to 6pm, Saturday, June 8 - 10am to 5pm, and Sunday, June 9 – Noon to 2pm. Arrive early for the best selection. Demonstrations of general orchid care will be Friday at 2pm and Saturday at 11am and 2pm.
Admission is free.

Ojai 4th of July Celebration and fireworks show will take place on Thursday, July 4, 2024 at the Nordhoff High School Stadium, 1401 Maricopa Highway, starting at 6 pm (gates open at 5:30 pm). The Ventura Beachfront Run (1/2 Marathon, 10K, 5K & Kids Fun Run) will take place on Saturday, June 8, 2024 with a scenic course along the beautiful coastline. The race will begin on the north side of the Ventura Pier, 668 Harbor Boulevard.
The half marathon and 10K runs along the oceanfront promenade and extends along the Pacific Coast Highway creating a flat and scenic course. The 5K runs out and back along the oceanfront promenade. The City of Ventura Cultural Affairs Division presents the popular Music Under the Stars series, Saturday nights beginning July 13 through August 31, 2024. Performances run from 7:30 to 9:30 pm outdoors at the historic Olivas Adobe, 4200 Olivas Park Drive, near Ventura Harbor. Concerts start at 7:30 pm & gates open at 6:30 pm for dining. Visit the Reagan Library this Memorial Day to honor the fallen men and women who served in the United States Military. The program will include live musical entertainment by harpist Thomas Baker, a flyover by the Tiger Squadron (weather permitting), a Color Guard, an Invocation by Naval Base Ventura County Command Chaplain Aristotle Rivera, and the following speakers:

Once the main parking lot is full, guests will be directed to park on Presidential Drive. Complimentary shuttles will be running to bring guests to the Reagan Library.
